Not only will Meat 2 Trade be Ireland's only butchery and food manufacturing exhibition, the event will also be home to the Five Nations Butchery Championships.
Some of the nations top butchers are set to battle it out at Meat 2 Trade, when they go head to head at the event in the new competition, sponsored by Cutting Edge.
Singles and pairs from Ireland, Scotland, England, Iceland and Germany are set to compete in what will be a thrilling show of expertise and skill.
The singles butchers will have 45 minutes to break down a half saddle of specially selected Pork, half a Lamb and create a show-stopping display.
The pairs will have 60 minutes to break down a half saddle of specially selected Pork, half a Lamb and a chuck of Beef.
The competition aims to showcase the skills, talent and innovation of the butchers, which will be judged by high experienced expert butchers and who will mark to a strict crieria of display, creativity, technique speed, wastage and food health and safety.
Pamela Ballantine, Butchery Excellence Ambassador, is under no doubt there will be fierce competition on the 2nd and 3rd October 2019.

The Meat 2 Trade Exhibition takes place at the Eikon Exhibition Centre, Balmoral Park, Sprucefield, Lisburn on 2nd and 3rd October.
